2. Purpose of the chats
The key purpose of these activities is to encourage teachers to integrate chats, as online lessons, into their teaching to enhance their curriculum and therefore enable their students to experience concrete communication situations with peers and experts from other countries.
The second purpose of the chat activities is to create a context that aims to support the debate activities that are open to all schools in Europe. The debates are organised around nine themes which have common points with the chat topics.
3. Pre-chat sessions
To help classes get familiar with the chat and debate themes, the FuturEnergia programme team encourages all interested schools to take part in pre-chat sessions that are scheduled before the chat activities.
The purpose of the pre-chat sessions is to facilitate dialogues among the schools that are willing to exchange and share ideas, views and opinions around the chat and debate themes.
The participants who will be accepted to take part in will get more information by email. The chat guests are not invited to take part in the pre-chat sessions.
4. Registration
The chats are open to students from 12 to 20 years of age. The communication language of the chats is English (More details on chats as classroom activities).
At present this page is available only in English, which is the communication language of the chat sessions. The teachers who would like to take part in with their classes should register by sending an email to Petru Dumitru at: futurenergia@eun.org
The email should contain the following information:
