On 16 April 2008 between 14:00-15:00 CET Professor Francesco Trabucco of Milan University will host a live online chat on the subject of “Vehicles of the Future” on the FuturEnergia website.

Professor Trabucco is Professor of Industrial Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan. An architect and designer, he has won numerous international awards including the Compasso d'Oro, Gutte forms, and the Bio. His works are part of permanent collections of major Museums such us the Moma in New York and the Modern Art Museum of Monaco.
During the chat Professor Trabucco will share more on the factors that are considered by designers to make the vehicles of the future better for the environment, and on the role of design in making more energy-efficient vehicles. This will cover areas including the creation and use of modern materials in making strong, lightweight airplanes, motor vehicles and boats.
Chats are classroom exercises in which students and their teacher ask questions to the host remotely in an online chatroom. Students will be free to ask Professor Trabucco any questions they like on this subject. Interested schools will be able to continue the discussion or comment on any points that interest them on the FuturEnergia blog.
