Katarína Neveďalová is a member of the social democratic party SMER-SD, of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats S&D in the European Parliament and a Board Member of EU40.
Katarina was elected in the age of 26 as the youngest MEP from Slovakia and is a member of the Committee on Culture and Education, Youth and Sport, Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality and Committee on International Trade. In the foreign policy she focuses on Delegation of the EP to Central Asia and on Delegation to the EU- Eastern Europe.
She has been very active in youth organisations and held several international positions, among which there was a position of a Vice-President of the Young European Socialists (2009 - 2011) and a Vice-President of the European Youth Forum (2011-2012).
Besides working as a member of the European Parliament she has recently been elected as a Vice-President of the Party of European Socialists and still holds a position of International Secretary at SMER–SD in Slovakia.
In 2010 Katarina was awarded as an MEP of the year in the field of Culture and Education.
