Photo-reportage: Chat on plastics and their role in reducing energy consumption

On 8 February 2007, Dr John Feldmann, a Member of the Board of Executive Directors (BASF Germany) and Vice President of PlasticsEurope, Brussels, together with a team of experts, answered students’ questions on the role of plastics to reduce energy consumption in building, CO2 emissions and heating costs.

The ten participating schools from eight countries (Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Romania and Slovakia) were provided with a set of didactical resources, including a cardboard house and its Macromedia Flash version, to intuitively learn how plastics enable reducing energy consumption, CO2 emissions and heating costs.

The below pictures were taken at BASF Germany, where the chat guest and his team hosted the chat. Some of the participating schools also share the pictures they took during the chat activity. Click on a picture to see a larger version of it.
